Business Central is the new identity for Microsoft Dynamics NAV (and Navision before that) and can be deployed in the cloud, or on-premises.

As part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 stack, Business Central can provide deep and powerful integrations across multiple areas of your business. From Office 365 to Teams, Outlook and Dynamics 365, this single integrated platform can provide your team with a streamlined workflow that doesn’t slow them down.

What About Dynamics NAV?

Dynamics NAV started life as Navision in the 1980s and was first rebranded to Dynamics NAV in 2005, before being rebranded again to Business Central in 2018. Whilst they may have been similar products at the time of the rebrand, Business Central has continued to evolve and improve over time.

Now, Business Central uses advanced automations, AI-driven tasks and tightly integrated features with the Microsoft 365 suite to provide a very robust and modern user experience. By comparison, NAV is still a great product but will eventually reach end of life (EOL) support and will no longer receive updates and patches from Microsoft.
