Fichtner Consulting Engineers LTD are an independent Engineering Consultancy that support energy projects across the UK and Ireland. Their stated purpose is to facilitate the investment and delivery of energy infrastructure projects that positively influence the energy transition, whilst their technical, environmental, contractual, and financial skills enable them to work on a diverse range of engineering and due diligence projects. They put their success down to a unique combination of skills and experience that continuously evolve as the market shifts and develops.

What Was Delivered

When we started this project, after a full project scope was created involving all key stakeholders, FormusPro implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to act as Fichtner’s core finance system.

We then extended this out with the D365 BC ‘Jobs’ module (with some of our own customisations), along with a real time API based integration to their bespoke timesheet system.

The Continia Expense portal/app was also put in place to allow remote capture of expenses and mileage by some 170 employees.

As well as integrating Business Central however, we also created a customised set of analytical reports using Jet Reports and Microsoft’s Power BI.
