Microsoft Removing Key Module For Marketers By Next Year

Microsoft have just announced they’ll be removing the Outbound Marketing Module from Customer Insights – Journeys as of June ‘25.

This time last year Microsoft set the default offering for new marketing customers to Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Real-Time Journeys.

Real Time Journeys was chosen as the preferred solution for marketers as it offered more enterprise level functionality.

Relax… If you’re a marketer currently using this module, then there will be no impact.

However, if you’re a legacy customer to Dynamics 365 Customer Insights (pre-August 2023) and are currently using the old Outbound marketing module this change will impact the way you use Customer Insights over the next 12 months.

Anyone using the outbound module, will need to transition to the real-time journey before June 30th, 2025, when it will be removed permanently as they’ll find, amongst other things, they’ll no longer be able to schedule posts to social media platforms.

If you’re looking to find out what real-time Journeys has to offer, then you can access a trial – just reach out to your favourite Microsoft partner for more details.

Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys is Microsoft’s answer to bringing unified customer data to any organisation.

With a wide range of tools built in, such as creating customer segments and being able to boost your engagement with AI, Customer Insights Journey is your all-in-one Sales and Marketing enablement tool.
