The LGA required a solution that would allow them to update Oscar records to feedback to the Oscar API when required. It also needed to dedupe historical records, with auditing and replace their old legacy code with added member functionality to improve organisational front end searchability.

FormusPro built LGA’s end solution on Dynamics 365 so that peers could either apply for peer positions or, as existing peers. maintain their professional data.

Power Portals

All changes to the system are now being made using the Power Portals Page, connected to the contact record, with self-service passwords. We continue to develop more modules for the system as the strategic partner for their Dynamics estate.

End To End Solution

Built on Dynamics, this solution allows peers to apply for peer positions, or as existing peers. The system also allows ad hoc changes throughout the year with all data being securely stored.

Company Information

LGA is the national membership body for local authorities, working on behalf of their member councils to support, promote and improve local government. Their core membership comprises 315 of the 317 councils in England and includes district, county, metropolitan and unitary authorities along with London boroughs and the City of London Corporation. They work on behalf of councils to ensure local government has a strong, credible voice with national government, to influence and set the political agenda on issues that matter to councils to better deliver local solutions to national problems.

What Was Delivered

Peers are now held as contacts within the system, with their data sitting directly on the contact, extending to positions records, qualification records and skills. All changes can still be accepted or rejected by LGA’s manual engagement team. As such all changes sit in a temporary table that can be reviewed and compared to previous values before confirming the overwrite.
