FormusPro is a Hereford Based Software Consultancy.

Through our Office in Hereford, we undertake consultancy projects throughout the country. The company Provides CRM and intelligent business software to a host of clients throughout the United Kingdom.

The company recognises the need to control environmental issues through a planned systematic approach through an Environmental Management System (EMS) by reducing our global environmental burden, preventing pollution and minimising the extent of environmental damage occurring as a result of our activities.

We shall implement our Environmental Policy by pursuing the following commitments:

  • Meet all relevant legislation, regulations, government guidance and industry codes of practice on environmental issues.
  • Assess the environmental impact of business operations and continuously seek to improve environmental efficiencies of its operations; including buildings and work practice;
  • Ensure that environmental accountabilities have been assigned and advised throughout the company.
  • Ensure that all staff have a good understanding of potential environmental aspects and impacts of our business and what their responsibilities are in this regard.
  • Raise staff awareness through the provision of suitable information and training on environmental issues and encouraging participation in environmental matters;
  • Comply fully with relevant environmental legislation, codes of practice and regulations;
  • Commit the necessary financial resources to fulfil the environmental policy;
  • Endeavour to use sustainable materials and products that are reusable or can be recycled in order to minimise waste;
  • Reduce energy consumption, and where possible work with suppliers who themselves have sound environmental policies;
  • Where necessary, ensure that all waste, (including hazardous), is transported and disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner, in accordance with statutory duty of care requirements;

Environmental objectives and targets have been set, specifically relating to:

  • Energy sources and consumption
  • Waste recycling
  • Material use from sustainable sources
  • Reduced water consumption
  • Nuisance

We will regularly monitor performance and compliance with the Environmental Policy and carry out an annual review of its content and amend where necessary.

The company will communicate the Environmental Policy to all employees and subcontractors and provide training and information to assist them in understanding the role they play and the consequences of deviation from procedures.

The Company will advise clients, suppliers and subcontractors that our procurement policies encourage them to address environmental issues and ensure that our suppliers and subcontractors have copies of this Policy and actively encourage them to apply similar environmental standards.

Clients will be advised that each project should operate a formal environmental management system.

The Directors will liaise with regulators and other stakeholders to ensure that our designs cause minimum disturbance and disruption.

Objectives and targets will be set based on management review findings to enable continual improvement.

Upon request, the policy will also be available to customers and the general public.

We will behave ethically with the vision of improving the quality of life of our workforce and their families as well as the local community and society at large.

The activities carried out by, or on behalf of the company may from time to time have a wider impact on the environment and within the local community. We aim to invest in a sustainable future through suitable environmental protection and working within the community to promote social progress.

Duties for a small business
The determination of priorities is outlined above in our Environmental Policy and is the responsibility of the Director for implementation. This policy is reviewed annually or where any change of practice will alter the acts and emissions of the company. All staff are inducted to the workplace and the Environmental Policy is disseminated alongside the Staff Handbook and Company Policies Manual for work practices.

Regular staff meetings are held and any ideas are requested with regard to company improvements including environmental practices and procedures.

Monitoring of Environmental Impact allows the company to prioritise what needs action via an Environmental Improvement Plan from the Environmental Effects Register.

Auditing of the ‘System’ processes will be done in‐house alongside our developing Quality Manual.
The company has achieved ISO9001 accreditation. The reporting and document control procedures contained within will enable us to adhere to our internal Environmental Policies.
