Behind The Scenes @ FormusPro As A Software Consultant

Hi, my name’s Sebastian (but I prefer Seb) and I’m sat here trying to figure out how to write this without it sounding like a CV… or worse, a dating profile!

I’ve been with FormusPro for nearly six years now, starting out on the support desk and working my way up to where I am now as a fully qualified Software Consultant, all supported by the company as we love to train and promote internally (one of the best things about working here to my mind).

In fact, to underscore that point a little, before I started at FormusPro I spent a good few years working as a chef, doing mass catering for outdoor adventure sites before moving to a more office based role where I worked for a dropship company, before I started at FormusPro five years ago… and I haven’t looked back since.

The people and culture at FormusPro aren’t like anywhere else I’ve ever worked. I know every company says that. But FormusPro are the first company I’ve ever found where literally everyone is happy to help with issues and share the knowledge.

Recently I’ve been able to start playing with building custom pages in the Power Platform and have created some really cool pages for a client to plot multiple destinations from a service account across different entities.

Outside of work I’m a keen gamer (both PC and console… obviously) as well as TTRPG’s such as Dungeons & Dragons and Call of Cthulhu.

When I’ve got the time I also enjoy writing, although with four kids, spare time is normally at a premium in my house!

Finally, rounding this little bio off, the marketing team asked me to plan a dinner party where I could invite any three famous people, alive or dead as guests. Who would it be and why?

After a bit of thought I settled on David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and Matt Mercer… well who wouldn’t want to say they’ve had dinner with these three?

David Bowie and Freddie Mercury are music legends who influenced music and pop culture and still, decades later, are just as relevant (I think).

Lastly is Matt Mercer, a voice actor who created a D&D podcast that’s almost single handedly responsible for bringing D&D into mainstream culture. What he’s done blows me away and the influence of what he’s created is just amazing.
